Day One: Project One

Say hello to project number one! This project is actually sitting at 29,280 words. My goal with this one is to finish it by the end of the month. I have had this book planned out for almost a year now. In fact, I had it planned out around last November when I first did NaNoWriMo. I wasn't planning on writing it anytime soon due to the lack of desire to write it or maybe it was because I didn't feel confident in enough writing it because I was definitely stepping out of my comfort zone with this story because I have never tried a story with mythology but not only that, make it modern somehow. It was definitely an undertaking. Either way, I wasn't planning on writing it but I decided to give it a shot this past August (last month) for Camp NaNoWriMo but when the end of the month came, I barely had over 20,000 words, not the 50,000 words I was hoping I would be at or at least close to. So that didn't work out. But I haven't given up hope on it. I want this book to be done as soon as I can get it done so I subject it to edits and revisions and then query it in hopes of getting attention so maybe it'll get published. In fact, today, I have written 3,662 words but I plan to write at least another 2,000 to 3,000 words before the day is done. Let's hoping I get that written or more. I'd love to be at 35,000 words or close to it before I go to bed so here goes nothing on that.

While I work on this project, I'll be doing some thinking on the following two projects as they both need to be rewritten:

The first one, Stryker, was going along pretty well until I hit a roadblock that kept me from going further and made it frustrating to continue writing for it. But a few weeks to maybe a month ago, I decided that I was going to rewrite it and revise it so it has better chances of surviving and getting completed. The second one, With Eyes That Burn, is part one of a three part trilogy. Like Stryker, I decided that I needed to rewrite it and I decided that long ago. I just haven't had a desire to work for it until just recently. It's getting completely rewritten. This would be the second time attempting to rewrite this beast. It, too, hit a roadblock that kept it from continuing. I'm hoping where I plan to go with this beast, it'll be better. I'm hoping the same for both of them. I want to be able to restart them as soon as I can so when I need a small break from writing The Daughter of Vulcan, these are the two projects I'm going to go to these two. Hopefully they will be ready to go soon!

Thanks to those who are following me! I hope this journey turns out to be a beneficial one! Feel free to tell anyone that might be interested! And if you'd like to, feel free to tweet me or leave comments on my posts!
